Beginning OCTOBER 1, 2026 Thursday Mixed-Age
(preschool + Kindergarten) aged class will be moving to the afternoon!
Classes will be on Thursdays 4:15 - 5pm in the Sanctuary (upstairs) at West Art.
Wednesday 10:30am Mixed Age remains the same. Only the Thursday morning Mixed Age is shifting to the afternoon.

- End of year holiday playdate celebrating the magic of winter holidays with songs, dances and activities about trees & lights, snowflakes & snow creatures, gift-giving and family.
class DESCRIPTIONS
Level 1 - Wed & Thurs at 9:30am
Designed for 1-2 year olds, this class is perfect for those about to be, or newly on-the-move kiddos! (Average age: 9 months - 2 years)
In this class I give activity directions and suggestions, as well as neat childhood developmental information, to attending caregivers. We expect children to put things in mouths, throw, hide on laps, need a snack break, experiment with taking things from each other and/or run around the room the whole time. That's all OK!
Children in Level 1 benefit from being in a social environment, exploring toys and instruments, moving freely to music, and feeling their bodies do things in coordination with yours. There's lots of body parts, animals & nature, and everyday object learning, and a focus on contrasting concepts through music - dynamics (loud / soft); movement (big, little, fast, slow); activity (energetic / calm).
Mixed Age - Wed at 10:30am / Thurs at 4:15pm
Designed for toddlers - Kindergarten age (Average age: 2.5 - 5)
This class is perfect for the preschool to kindergarten-aged child. I direct activity steps and goals to the children, as well as sharing information with attending caregivers. Activities in this level enhance collaborative skills, creative back & forth idea building, hand and finger play, simple instrument use (wooden sticks, sand blocks, chimes etc.), beginning rhythm and vocal use, rhyming, taking turns, waiting, participating, listening and dancing, using themes such as Playground, Jungle, Ocean, All Around Town, Your House & Garden, and many more.
In these family-style classes, caregivers attend class with children.
Classes are 45 minutes long
Classes are $16/primary child; $14/siblings of relevant age.
A note on choosing levels:
My classes are flexible! If you're the parent of siblings who span these ages, you're welcome to try out both levels to see what fits your kids best.
If you're a parent of a child 2.5 years old, you might find they arrive at a transition from Level 1 to Mixed Age. You're welcome to move up at any time. If you're registered, just let me know and I can help you hop over.
